In the morning experts defined a DA, outlined what local authorities expect in DAs, and discussed parking and traffic issues, landscape, heritage and sustainability. During the afternoon the planning policy framework for SEPP 65 was outlined. Experts discussed designing for SEPP 65, illustrating compliance, managing urban design, and understanding how councils deal with SEPP 65 matters. Despite the Government’s Residential Flat Design Code and Rules of Thumb, this area is complex. The quality of urban development depends on clever compliance with this regulation. |
