In 2008 the experts discussed what a DA is legally speaking. Focusing on site analysis to identify character and context, achieving sustainability, resolving traffic and parking issues, they identified current issues. The afternoon session was devoted to SEPP 65 – how to interpret, apply and assess it and its application through apartment buildings and landscaping issues. SEPP 65 Panels and Independent Hearing and Assessment Panels were discussed and the seminar concluded with some insights into the mind of the architect. Speakers were: Dean Brodie, Mark Ellenbroek, Rodney Jensen, Steve King, Gabrielle Morrish, Michael Neustein, Russell Olsson, Mary-Lynne Taylor, Matthew Taylor and Philip Thalis. |
