I highly recommend this seminar to any graduate planner who may wish to broaden their understanding on a range of planning issues covered by professional speakers. The content was incredibly insightful and absolutely relevant to today's planning issues. The catering was excellent and the location was a perfect example of adaptive re-use! Thank you for a well organised seminar. I replaced my co-director at the last minute and was very glad to have the opportunity to attend this seminar. I rated every aspect very highly. ___________________________________ Dealing with Contaminated Land in 2011 03 August 2011 The folder of printed papers was the best I've seen in a long time.Lex Stewart, EngineerCabonne Shire Council Urban Design: What Architects and Planners Need to Know 06 July 2011 Each speaker brought a wealth of knowledge to NEERG’s recent Urban Design seminar, adding perspective, background and insights to issues that planners, architects and urban designers face. Steve King's segment was especially useful. As a planner, I couldn’t agree more with his notion of moving away from the outdated 9am - 3pm solar access benchmark to more dynamic and merit based assessment criteria. I would definitely recommend NEERG seminars and the Mint’s catering is great too! Wendy Wang, Senior Urban Planner - Major Developments, City Planning Department, Randwick City Council We all enjoyed the urban design seminar and found it very interesting. Long conversations ensued on the bus and continued back at the office. It was great to have such a good lineup of speakers. I hope to do more of these seminars in the future.
